I'm really into podcasting right now. It's refreshing to hear people talk about something interesting for a change. The name is a little deceiving. You don't need an IPod to listen, you don't even need a portable audio player. What you do need is a computer and an internet connection, which you clearly have. I've been listening through my networked TiVo which is really convenient, and a welcome change from the crap my TiVo is recording lately. If you want to get started here are some links that will help.
www.ipodder.orgThis site is where you can get a program to subscribe and automatically download your favroite PodCasts, look on the right side, you'll find links to all the info you need. It also lists several thousand active podcasts.
www.podcastalley.comIf you want to know what other people are listening to go here. People vote for their favorite podcasts and the compile a list of the top 50. With thousands out there it's important to know what's worth listening to.
Two I suggest are "The Dawn and Drew Show" and Adam Curry's "Daily Source Code" both in the top ten at podcast alley. If you want nerdy check out
"this WEEK in TECH". This is how I got into podcasting and that's explained in the previous post.
